Are you brave enough to go for a brazilian?
Well, I was. I wasn’t even planning on posting this entry but then I already promised my friend, @wouthmash, that I will just post an entry about this ‘new’ experience here on Tumblr since she’s been asking a lot of questions regarding the procedure. :P
So here goes.. I was really bored at home yester-night so I decided to book myself an appointment at the newly-opened Lay Bare in Robinsons Midtown. I don’t know why but I was really thrilled and very excited at the same time because of the thought of having a brazilian. My first, mind you, here in the Philippines. Of course, there were thoughts going in my mind like, “Isn’t it too awkward to show your private part to someone else?” or the never ending question, “Is it really painful?” but what the hell, I was convinced I was going to do it.
I’m not going to outline the step one by one but I guess it’s enough for me to state the answers to those two questions I stated above. Was it awkward? Yes, at first. But trust me, the esthetician was very professional and very kind. She made me feel like as if there’s nothing new to the procedure and she made me feel secured. Was it painful? I’m not going to lie. It was painful on top of the pubic bone area ONLY. The rest, it was just like as if you’re having your eyebrows threaded. I took Advil 30 minutes before the procedure to equip myself in facing the overrated pain of brazilian wax. Maybe I was just lucky that Advil worked. Or maybe, it really wasn’t that painful as I expected it to be. The whole procedure lasted for 18 minutes. YES, THAT FAST. Would I go for it again? Absolutely.
If you guys have any questions, feel free to TumblrAsk me :)

P.S. This sounded like a free advertisement for Lay Bare but I’m just really ecstatic and satisfied with the service I received. I availed of their Birthday Blow out promo which included 15% off on all services plus a complimentary eyebrow threading. How cool is that? :)
